Job Description

The Permitting Coordinator will manage residential solar projects in the lower Hudson Valley region. The Permitting Coordinator will work alongside the Project Manager during the stages of solar projects to secure building and electric permits.


  • Research new permitting jurisdictions including ordinances, building codes, application processes, and inspection processes
  • Communicate with the Project Manager on unique jurisdictional requirements
  • Participate in the administrative processes relating to permit applications
  • Submit payments for various applications
  • Maintain consistent and accurate data on projects within database
  • Monitor emails relating to application statuses
  • Perform other relevant administrative tasks as needed
  • Escalate concerns to Permitting Specialist as necessary

  • Knowledge of Adobe PDF and Google Workspace
  • 2-3 years of previous electrical, construction, or PV solar experience is preferred, but other clerical experience within a professional environment is acceptable
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM is preferred
