Wind Reliability Engineer

As the Senior Wind Turbine Engineer you will be responsible for identifying and solving any and all wind turbine reliability related problems. You will also be responsible for interfacing with many internal teams within the organization such as safety, operations, field crew, engineering and supply chain management.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient with SCADA and other data metrics required for performing reliability assessments and solving wind turbine issues.
  • Provide insight and resolution regarding equipment failure and identify the root cause of wind turbine related issues.
  • Make educated decisions based on RCA and implement action plans at all levels throughout the company.
  • Develop and implement maintenance and reliability programs to prevent and predict issues.
  • Provide oversight throughout planning, implementation and validation of corrective actions to equipment failure.
  • Lead multiple cross functional engineering teams to identify equipment reliability issues.
  • Provide leadership and partner with regulatory bodies across the industry through attending conferences and speaking engagements.

Requirements

  • BEng in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of wind industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of wind turbine equipment maintenance and operations,
  • Capable of working with minimal oversight and guidance.
  • Travel up to 20% to field locations and conferences.
