Solar Construction Engineer
New York, NYAs the Solar Construction Engineer, you will be responsible for all operations of the key projects within the engineering team. Responsibilities:
- Work on conceptual design of solar projects, due diligence analysis, QA/QC evaluations, and testing procedures.
- Conduct reviews and utilize data from project portfolios including residential, commercial and utility scale projects to provide insight and resolutions for potential flaws in production or process.
- Forecast long term solar resources using predictive methods and assessments provided by third party consultants, site visits, inspections, feasibility studies and technical report writing.
- Responsible for day to day project execution including scope, deadline and reporting.
- Support technical reviews of all deliverables and reports providing insight and suggestions into overall value add for clients.
- Support any additional product lines within the company.
- Pricing and approving scope of work.
- Uphold companies core values, purpose and culture with a strong emphasis on team engagement.
Requirements:
- 8+ Years experience in the solar industry.
- Masters in engineering, electrical preferred.
- P.Eng valued.
- Working knowledge of PV project development, energy models, PV components or related areas.
- Willingness to work outdoors, sometimes in harsh conditions.
- Willingness to wear PPE at all necessary times.
- Travel 30-50% per year.
